When is the show?

The officers and committee of Great Harwood Agricultural Society have reluctantly taken the decision to cancel the 2020 annual show, which was to be held on Spring Bank Holiday Monday, 25th May 2020, due to the ongoing situation around the coronavirus.

The show has been held on Spring Bank Holiday Monday since 1857.

The Society will be holding the show in 2021.

Adults – £10
Concessions – £8
Children (5-18 years) – £5
Family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) – £25
Under 5’s are free

Cash and card payment is accepted on the gate on the day.

Where is the show?

You can find us on The New Showfield, Harwood Lane, Great Harwood, Lancashire, BB6 7UL.

Where can I park?

We have a large car park for visitors adjacent to the show field. Please follow road signs on the day directing you to ‘show parking’. Access to the car park is via Church Lane and parking is free.

Do you have disabled parking?

We have a number of designated disabled parking spaces which are at the front of our car park closest to the entrance. Please note these are allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Is the free bus running this year?

Yes, we have a free to use vintage bus service linking Accrington and Whalley to the showground. Please view the timetable here.

Can I bring my dog/s?

Yes! Dogs on leads are very welcome and why not enter them in the pet dog show or have a go at agility and flyball with them?

What time does the show open?

Classes in certain sections begin approximately 08.30 and usually run to 18.00. The main arena events begin at 09.45. For competitors entering the showground there are staff on site from 06.00.

How do I know what is going on?

Pick up a ‘What’s On’ Guide for just £2.50 that will tell you all you need to know about the show. They are for sale at various points around the showground. Alternatively, have a look around the website for information of everything to see and do.

Is the showground suitable for wheelchairs and prams?

We have a number of hardstanding walkways for pedestrians that you can follow around the showground. Please be aware the majority of the show is on grass including the car parking.

Can I enter classes on the day?

Entries are taken on the day in some sections. Please check with the section you wish to enter directly.

Where do competitors park?

Competitors carrying livestock and horses (e.g. horseboxes, cattle/sheep trailers) are to follow the EXHIBITOR PARKING signs as you will be parking on the show field in the relevant section.
