Great Harwood Agricultural Show Committee currently have 3 voluntary openings for new Committee Members.

Assistant Market Manager
To work with the Market Manager in the organisation of the Trade Stands for the Annual show. Must be available during the week prior to the show, to lead (with assistance) the marking out of trade stand pitches and work with the general layout of the show. Must be available early on show morning to help direct the stall holders to correct pitches. Also to be available at the end of show day to facilitate the smooth exit of stall holders. Be also able to attend monthly or bi- monthly committee meetings.
All ages considered but with a reasonable amount of fitness, in order to walk about in the marking out process.

Show Jumping Secretary
Afilliated and non affiliated show jumping. To organise the show jumping ring pre show and on show day. The process is already in place so training beforehand will be given. Assist the coursebuilder prior to the show. To bring your own assistant on show day would be useful. Also to attend some of the committee meetings through the year.

Tug of War
To organise the Tug of War pre show and on show day. The Tug of War heats are run during the afternoon on show day, in a side ring, with the final in the Main Arena. To liaise with Young Farmers also local organisations and Public Houses.
